RESPONSIBILITIES The stacker is the bottleneck of the sawmill so it is extremely important for the stacker operator to understand that uptime and stacker efficiency are essential at the stacker station. The stacker operator must work safely at a quick and continuous pace and must be extremely efficient in their job performance. Have all equipment started and ready to run prior to the shift starting. Maintain a consistent flow of lumber from the sorter floor chains through the stacker outfeed. Efficiently troubleshoot causes of stacker stops in order to get the stacker back running safely and quickly. |
