The optimized length infeed positions the log. The log is scanned and optimized for the optimum sawing solution in the OLI. The optimized length infeed holds the log in position for scanning and feeds the log to the side chipping heads. The infeed will slew and skew based on the optimum solution provided by the infeed scanning optimizer.
